Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Hello my  beautiful readers,

How are y’all doing? I have an interesting topic today just as the title says, Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Signs of breast cancer may include a lump in the breast. A change in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, fluid coming from the nipple, or a red scaly patch of skin. In those with distant spread of the disease, there may be bone pain, swollen lymph nodes, shortness of breath, or yellow skin.- (sourced from Wikipedia)

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign: Introduction

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign month. Is an international health campaign organised by major charities every October. To increase awareness of the disease. And to raise funds into the research of the causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure. The campaign also offers support and information to the affected individuals. Variety of activities are done in honor of the breast cancer awareness campaign and this include: Walks and run, pink illumination of the major landmarks. This include the white house and the Eiffel tower.

I have had this post, about Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in the back of my mind for quite a while. I had intended to post it by mid month, here is a reason why, in my own thinking. It could play a role of reminding people about breast cancer awareness, a lot of  articles, videos, posters and the sort were talked about and aired around the social media in the beginning of October but with passing days the speed went lower as it is with every campaign, so this post is aimed to add up in the many articles for the sake of continuation in raising & spreading awareness. And my personal motto for the campaign is – Early Detection. Cure. Prevention.

In the process of creating this post I was contacted by AdoreMe about partnering to raising awareness of breast cancer, and I jumped on the opportunity to work with another brand to spread & raise awareness. We all have heard about breast cancer, or at least know what it is all about. Did you know 1 in every 8 women is a victim of cancer in their lifetime? (now that I have got your attention.) why don’t you join a course larger than yourself. The Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign and spread awareness, early diagnosis is the key.

A lot of women do not know how and what to look for when it comes to breast cancer. In collaboration with AdoreMe, which is an online retail based in New York. It focuses on all things lingerie, at greater quality, and their goal is to help an individual feel sexy without sacrificing comfort. Together we came up with an amazing post that will help to spread awareness found here. Where they talk about the 9 breast lumps that ain’t breast cancer. To help the ones that self diagnose at home and worse end up googling it, only to be added an insanely amount of pressure (thanks a lot Google). We have all been a victim of Dr. Google, anyways they were also kind enough to actually include a video as seen below on how to self check from home. Find more content on their official YouTube channel.

 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

I couldn’t have said it better myself, I think the video puts the whole self check into clearer light, and I urge you to support this campaign simply by self checking and be sure to see the doctor in case of any irregularities, this may include;

  • lumps
  • Dimpling, puckering, or bulging of the skin
  • A nipple that has changed position or an inverted nipple (pushed inward instead of sticking out)
  • Redness, soreness, rash, or swelling

You may also opt to take part in a larger picture, by getting involved visit here (Breast cancer organization) or here (National breast cancer organization) for the ones in Tanzania visit here. There you can be able to donate, and note: for every $1 donated 3 women get the help they need, apart from donation you can take part in events, sharing your story or that of a relative to spread further awareness, partner with a charity near you, join a marathon or fund raise. Really there has to be something that you could do to bring success towards  Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

As I sign out do not forget to check out AdoreMe for their outstanding & quality lingerie, and here is something you do not get as often, Adore Me has a monthly subscription service offering two options. The first being a VIP membership, offering lingerie starting at $39.95 and every 6th lingerie is free, and the second being a Pay As You Go option… and get this, they do free shipping and free unlimited exchanges, for the VIP of course, and get a 15% cut when you invite a friend it doesn’t get better than this you guys!…. with that being said, I wish you a lovely Sunday and do remember to tell a friend to tell a friend, – Early Detection. Cure. Prevention.

    Thank you MissKymmie, very important topic. My mother was a breast cancer survivor, living for about 10 years after a radical double mastectomy.
