Hey Gorgeous People,

Now all my Most Frequently Asked Questions are just a press of a button away. I will incorporate all questions in categories form so that I to don’t have my thoughts all over the place. Without Further Ado. My response to the Frequently Asked Questions. Based on Blogging | Personal | Travel | Photography | Fashion and Style.|
I: Frequently Asked Questions: BLOGGING.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED INTO BLOGGING?
I have talked about this in full details on my About Page. But for brief sake. I stumbled into blogging when I was on the highway to my Master’s graduation… Woke up one morning with the urge to create a website and without hesitation, signed up for WordPress, and wrote my first blog post. I loved it so much! I felt a rush every time I hit “publish” and released a new post out into the world for anyone (or maybe only my parents and girlfriends at the beginning) to see and respond to.
What had started as a hobby turned out into a lifetime career that has now quickly grown in size and scope than I ever imagined in my wildest dream. Each step was a learning curve and sometimes I would spend hours on the simplest things (like trying to center my header), but that drive is what kept me motivated and moving forward.
WHAT ADVISE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO START BLOGGING?
Getting started and keeping up a consistent schedule of posting are the most difficult parts of the early lives of blogs. It’s important not to go into it with high expectations of becoming the next big blogger. That pressure alone could ruin the whole experience for you. Starting a blog should be fun and you should do it because you’re passionate about a topic(s)! I often get emails from girls saying “I want to start a blog, but I don’t know where to begin or what to write about?” Well, stop right there. Ask yourself, why am I creating this? If you can answer that question, then just start! I live by this quote: “Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.” Also I have a FREE Blogging Course to hold your hand as you begin your journey.
IS BLOGGING YOUR FULL TIME JOB?
Yes and No. I have a regular 8AM to 4PM job. Where I get to utilize my double degrees. And I work on my Blog everyday from 5PM to 12AM and beyond sometimes. (Who needs sleeps anyways. Ha!) and all my free times, lunch break, and weekends are dedicated towards building my Brand.
The truth of the matter is that, Blogging is a 24 hour Job. So am always working. There is more to blogging than what meets the eye. Just on the content creation side alone there’s plenty of work to be done everyday. I cover the responsibilities of model, stylist, location scout, producer, writer, editor and photographer. Add on social media, travel, collaborations, legal, financial duties and everything else there’s plenty to keep me busy all of the time.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT RUNNING MISSKYMMIEE CREATIVES?
How much time do you got? Short answer? EVERYTHING!! I love having something that’s completely my own. I love creating a destination for my readers, something they can escape to daily that will hopefully brighten their day with positivity. Plus the fact that I get to share the things that I discover. Those things that catch my eye, whether it’s wearing a beautiful dress or capturing an incredible landscape. Everyday is a creative challenge for me, which keeps me motivated and always striving for improvement. Finally, I enjoy having something to work on to inspire my growth. It’s definitely made me a better creative thinker and overall a better person.
HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY ON YOUR SITE?
I make money three ways: sponsored content, Advertising and affiliates. I’m lucky to have the opportunity to work with some amazing brands and if I’m ever being paid for a blog post, it will be disclosed within the post that it’s “sponsored” (any gifted items will be marked as well). I’m also a part of several affiliate advertising programs. This means that if you click and/or make a purchase through certain links on my site or any related social media platforms (including Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest), I may make a commission from that click and/or purchase. You can also Shop my Daily Looks here. I’m extremely selective when working with sponsors and I will only feature products and brands that I love. I turn down opportunities (and lots of money) all the time because it’s very important to me to include and only show products and companies that fit my life, style and most importantly my Brand.

III: Frequently Asked Questions: TRAVEL
AM GOING ON A TRIP DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVISE?
I could put together 100 tips for traveling, but I think the most important thing to remember when traveling is why you’re traveling in the first place. No matter what stage you are in, you can be in the planning stage or you could already be on your trip, the purpose of your trip should always be top of mind. Here’s why, when I travel, I am presented with a plethora of options. The sheer amount of things to do, places to stay and food to eat can be overwhelming. This combined with the ticking clock of my time expiring creates a perception of scarcity and can force me into a rush to consume everything. So the next time you plan a trip, make sure most of your itinerary reflects your purpose and I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time. Also Get yourself a FREE traveling Checklist on the blog.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES YOU’VE EVER BEEN TO?
Zanzibar Island– The Nungwi Paradise to Be exact.
I’M VISITING TANZANIA, DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?
Yes! Please check out the posts I’ve done on My Best of Tanzania Series and the list keeps growing with my every new experience.
IV: Frequently Asked Questions: PHOTOGRAPHY
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR SHOOTING GREAT PHOTOS?
At its roots, photography is all about lighting and composition. When you decide to take a photo, think about how you can make the lighting better. Small adjustments like moving your subject closer to an open window for brighter light or shading your food by blocking light with your body can create more even light that’s more pleasing. Once you’ve figured out your light, think about your composition. Composition is the arrangement of visual elements in a picture.
It’s not just how the physical elements are arranged but also the distance from the subjects, the angle and the focal length of the lens. Composition is all about experimentation. I’ve never taken just one picture, I always play around with the composition, moving items in the photo, changing the distance or the angle. Afterwards, I review all of the images and select the ones I find the most visually appealing or tell the best story. I then edit those.
SPEAKING OF EDITING, HOW DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
One of the most Frequently Asked Questions EVER!! This got easier after I had a break through on the type of imagery I wanted my brand to portray. From there everything seems to fell into place. I don’t always take pics that aren’t “Brand worth-it” because they will end up filling my gallery. With that being said, I constantly use Adobe LightRoom to Fix the Light, The Color adjustment, White Balance, Color Mix, and Details. Depending on the Photo I might use Adobe Photoshop… Ever so often I use FaceTune for my portraits and Lastly Pop a filter with VSCO and my go to is HB1. I edit all my pictures. Believe me I know, It may seem like a lot but I have a few presets on the go and its something I enjoy so – it doesn’t seem like chores as such. I will talk about this in details on the upcoming blog posts, stay tuned.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERA AND LENSES DO YOU USE?
I have two types of cameras that I use for 95% of our photos. Mostly I use a Canon 700D with a EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens. I shoot all pics on manual mode for all of our outfit shots on the blog, for flatly and some travel shots.
I’m also taking more and more photos just on my iPhone. The quality of the images just keep getting better and there’s no easier camera to use.

WHATS YOUR PERSONAL STYLE LIKE?
Lets remember, “Fashion Is what you buy, Style is how you wear it.” With that being said, I discovered my personal style, a little over two years ago. Before that, I think I went through all stages of personal style. Am talking from Vintage to EMO, to Edgy, to Preppy, to Bohemian and Tom-boy at some point and the list goes on. After a long trial and error I was able to find My Personal style. Which is Classy & Elegant | Edgy & Fun | Outgoing & Eye-catchy | Cool Neutrals combination. I wrote a three blog post series and FREE guiding questions to help you find your personal style as well. See the Links as Attached; Defining Personal Style, Types of Personal Style, Finding Personal Style.
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR FASHION INSPIRATIONS?
I Channel my inspiration from the streets. There is so much, the street fashion can offer. With a little twist and injection of ones personality you get your own twist and make a bold fashion statement.
WHAT’S THE ONE FASHION ADVISE YOU COULD OFFER?
Don’t rely your style on Trends. Here is one thing you need to remember, Trends come and go (Extremely fast especially of late) And if you are one to buy on trends you will be buying every season of the year and never being able to wear the same outfit come next season. So Find yourself, find your personal style and make the Trend work for you not the other way round. That way you can always wear the outfit with your own version of the trend and look Fab!
