It’s the Christmas season and malls all over are beaming with goods that keep tempting you, and every time you switch on the TV, there is an advert about what to buy this Christmas. However, not everybody can be fortunate enough to have it all. This should not stop you from Enjoying the holidays. On the 5th day of Blogmas, I will share with you ways on How to Celebrate Christmas on a Budget. Hopefully you find this tips useful and you can make the most out of your Christmas Holiday.
Remember that, there is a lot more to Christmas Cheer, More that ain’t Material. And digging onto that side of reality is a good way on How to Celebrate Christmas on a Budget. Go over and Beyond, Think outside the box on how to bring cheer to someone closest to you, Here is s few ways on How to Celebrate Christmas on a Budget
Prioritize & Budget before Hand
This two go hand in hand and should be the first thing on the How to Celebrate Christmas on a Budget list. In order to actually have a peace of mind, you should allocate the amount of money you are willing to spend, in other words, “Budget for Christmas” but this has to go with Priorities. You should remember to stay within the budget limit and to do so, Prioritizing plays a huge part in the process. Is the Holiday get-away really a priority when money is on the low? I don’t think so, get them a Christmas present instead and so on and so forth. See Below some budget friendly activities to do this Christmas.
It goes without saying that, the Christmas Holiday Can be quite stressing and if not taken care of, It tends to consume up an individual. So create time this Christmas, spend it with your loved ones, make memorable memories, it could be family camp by the fire while roasting marshmallows, or volunteering as a family, it won’t cost you anything but you will be able to celebrate Christmas and spread the cheers along the way. Remember to create time this Christmas, for your children, Spouse, Sibling, Parents and Friends.
Send E-Cards for a Change
Spread Christmas Cheers and wishes using E-Cards this year. It will save you both time and money. They are inexpensive, and will help you cut down on card purchases and postage fees. It wont be a lot of money that you save, but surely its a step in the right direction. The beauty about it is, you are able to customize them to fit your purpose.
Do It Yourself Projects
DIY’s are a personal budget’s best friend. This will help you cut down a lot of costs. Being creative is Key! Let your imaginations wonder. From the Home-made Cookies and Christmas meal from your grand mother’s recipe to the Christmas tree ornaments and house decoration. This can run you short a couple of dollars, but with DIY to the rescue, this is an easy fix. In addition to that, it allows you room to spend more time with your loved ones. Bonding in the light of DIY projects whilst creating Memories.
Think of this as the DIY’s older sibling. Think outside the box and channel the, “Waste not, want not” Saying. Make due with what you have and be creative at that. Think for example; is it a meal you are serving? The same dish can be cooked a couple of ways over, do that and cut down on the Christmas extravagant feast meals. If you normally cut your roasted veggies in big chunks, cube them or slice them diagonally this time. You won’t believe what a difference such small trick makes. Make sure there are two or more colors in there for visual interest. On the same note, slice the meat thinly if you normally serve it whole.
Start New Traditions
The holiday can go forever if you let it, and being on a budget, well that means few activities to do. So come up with a new Christmas tradition(s) that are fun and exciting and will keep you in a christmas mood. From Camping in the living room, to watching projector movies under the moon and stars or Family baking. Something that is inclusive for all members. It shouldn’t be chore because, that kills the joy in celebration real quick.
Look out for Sales and Discounts Deals.
If you necessarily have to travel for the holidays, book your flight months in advance, they are extremely cheaper then. When you need something from the shops, look out for sales and try shopping online, they are a tad cheaper than retailer stores. Also, do last-minute shopping after all the hype has dialed down, Chances ate the prices would have dialed down with it.
