How are you my beautiful reader? and welcome back to my blog, well since we still on that New Year
Shenanigan, I thought I should share with you my updated skin care or rather facial routine that I do on a day-to-day. We all love our make-ups but thanks a lot to Alicia Keys I have been able to channel my inner her and from time to time go without make-up. Don’t get me wrong i love my make-ups but i try as much as possible to keep it minimal unless I really have to, but since I work on most days I don’t really do that much make-up.
The one thing that made me love the whole no make-up routine is a good facial care that i have been loving and what do I do to achieve this, as you may wonder? Well stick with me and you will get to find out how and what i do. and for those who wear make-up all day which is what I do most times lol, you need to remember to put the same amount, effort and time you did to beat and slay the face to take care of the face as well.
- Make-up remover
If am wearing make-up then this has to be the first step, to wipe off the make-up and neutrogena wipes are amazing and gentle to the skin without striping off the natural oil of the skin, and if am out on the neutrogena make-up wipe remover I sometimes switch to Pamper’s wipe removers, which basically do the same thing, for some people they use apple cider vinegar or olive oil to remove their make up, pick your poison. LOL
2. Facial Wash.
Whenever am not wearing make up then I jump right into this step, the facial wash is important because it opens up the pores and prepare my face for the entire routine. I love facial wash more, because they have a balance that’s not harsh to the skin. My current facial wash is clean & clear oil free clear skin facial wash.
I think this is one of the most important part in my face care routine, as defined by google, A cleanser is a facial care product that is used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, oil, dirt, and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne. My Favorite cleanser to use is the Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent by Neutrogena and it works well with my skin which is oily on the T-zone and normal on the other side.
4. Exfoliation Part 1 (Weekly)
My title says my everyday routine care I know, but when I need a deep intense cleaning I tend to reach out for my facial scrub which can be gentle on the skin safe to use twice a week, and this is the clear essence Complexion facial scrub, its main purpose is to remove excess oil, dirt and most importantly dead cells that tend to be clogged in the skin and hence allows better absorption of the facial treatment.
ii. Exfoliation Part 2 (Daily)
I do this daily where I use an exfoliating soap to exfoliate my face the exfoliating soap that I use if the Fair and white Paris which has the best Aroma in addition to its working wonders. I recently just heard of the vanity spin for perfect skin brush system which is a must to have and am in the process to order this bad boy, I mean it’s totally a game changer take a look at it here.
I love toners, and if I were to choose two facial routines to keep it would be a cleanser and toner, apart from making sure everything is flawlessly clean a toner tends to nourish the skin and help in having a balanced skin tone all over the face and neck areas and at the same time shrinking the size of the pores. the miracle of 21st century you guys… the toner am using is the Even Tone Toner by Palmer’s.
The final step in my everyday routine is moisturizing and from last year December I invested in a facial cream and a body lotion from the MaxiTone which works well for a dark complexion girl like me, where as I said I tend to have a normal to oily skin type and at night after my skin care routine I use skin therapy oil by cocoa butter which helps with reducing wrinkles, dark spot, scars, uneven tones, aging skin and adds on any lost moisture to the skin.
There you have it ladies and gent, my 2017 updated skin care and facial routine, don’t forget to drink lots and lots of water to help build and nourish the skin, with that being said, I will see you all in my next one. Cheers!!
